Onboard Antennas for UAVs

COBRA onboard antennas are passive antennas fitted to a UAV in place of its standard ones. They improve the link between the UAV and the ground antenna system, helping to increase range and the stability of control commands, data and video.

Available in two kit configurations — COBRA FN and COBRA FO — designed for different flight scenarios and coverage requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are onboard antennas needed if a ground antenna system is already in use?

Yes. The link between the UAV and the ground system works both ways, so the performance of the antenna system depends on the equipment at both ends. The ground antenna system improves the link from the ground, and COBRA onboard antennas — from the UAV side. Used together, they help increase the stability and range of the link.

Do COBRA onboard antennas replace the UAV’s standard antennas?

Yes. COBRA antennas are fitted in place of the UAV’s standard antennas and connect to the onboard amplifiers. The operating band is 2400–2483.5 MHz.

Do COBRA onboard antennas withstand rain and frost?

Yes. The antennas carry an IP67 rating and are designed to operate at temperatures from −40 to +40 °C.
